Drum Pumps UK

Drum pumpDrum pumps are specialist container pumps used for the transfer of lubricants, industrial liquids and chemicals.

They differ from other types because they come supplied with variety of container fittings, siphon tube and agitator for mixing, and a fluid dispensing hose, with or without non-drip nozzle. This means that you can be confident that everything you require for your application will be delivered when you order.

In automated fluid transfer processes in industries such as in the chemical, water, marine, and the paper industries, drum pumps may be fixed on large tanks securely and may move corrosive media, cleaning solutions, salt water, or slurries to storage tanks or treatment systems.

AODD pumps are particularly suitable for container transfer applications because of their self priming and dry running characteristics.

The pump acts as a “scavenger”, to completely empty drums, barrels, sumps etc. This can offer significant cost savings to the user since no residual product is left in the container. The pumps can also pass small particles without damage.

The AODD (air operated double diaphragm) pump itself and the hoses are available in a variety of materials such as stainless steel/acetal and stainless steel/polypropylene to allow even aggressive chemicals to be transferred.

Because the pumps are powered by compressed air, there is no electricity used, enabling them to be used in hazardous areas. Discharge flow rates are adjusted by controlling the air inlet so no complex control systems are required.
